What the day looks like

1. Step 1

   Day 1: Surfing in Hikkaduwa

   Meet your adventure guide in the morning for a surf session on Hikkaduwa's famous beach breaks. Whether you are a first-timer or looking to improve your skills, the warm, consistent waves here are ideal for learning. After lunch at a beachfront cafe, there is free time to relax or take a second surf session before departing in the late afternoon for the drive to Kitulgala. Settle into your riverside lodge surrounded by rainforest.

2. Step 2

   Day 2: White Water Rafting in Kitulgala

   After a hearty breakfast, gear up for white water rafting on the Kelani River. Navigate roughly seven kilometers of exciting Grade 3-4 rapids interspersed with calm pools where you can jump in for a swim. The lush jungle scenery along the riverbanks is unforgettable. After drying off and having lunch, take an optional jungle trek through the same rainforest where the film Bridge on the River Kwai was shot. In the late afternoon, drive up into the hill country toward Ella.

3. Step 3

   Day 3: Ella Hikes & Nine Arch Bridge

   Wake early to catch the sunrise at the Nine Arch Bridge, one of Sri Lanka's most photographed landmarks, as a blue train crosses the elegant stone viaduct above the valley. Continue with a morning hike through rolling tea estates to Little Adam's Peak, enjoying panoramic views of Ella Gap. After lunch in the charming town center, trek to Ravana Falls where you can cool off in the cascading pools. Overnight in Ella.

4. Step 4

   Day 4: Zip-Line & Waterfall Trek

   Start the morning with an adrenaline-pumping zip-line experience, soaring over the jungle canopy with sweeping views of the mountains below. After the thrill ride, your guide leads a trek through lesser-known trails to a hidden waterfall with a natural swimming hole where few tourists venture. Enjoy a packed lunch by the falls before beginning the scenic return drive to Hikkaduwa, stopping at viewpoints along the way.

5. Step 5

   Day 5 (Optional): Free Day & Departure

   For those on the extended package, enjoy a free morning in Hikkaduwa for last-minute beach time, souvenir shopping, or a relaxed snorkeling session at the coral reef. Your guide is available for recommendations and can arrange transfers to Colombo airport or your next destination at any time.
